Committees

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce must have a foundation of strong committees. The following is a list of committees that members and community members alike can join. Each committee will have a chair from the board of directors. 

 

Best of Business Excellence Committee

The Best of Business Excellence carries out the voting process and selection of top businesses and organizations from across Madison County. This committee oversees the event from start to finish and provides guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

Clay Shoot Committee 

The Clay Shoot committee oversees the clay shoot event from start to finish and provides guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

 

Dragonboat Committee 

The Dragonboat Committee oversees the Dragonboat project from start to finish and provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle. See also Dragonboat Subcommittees 

 

 

Golf Tournament Committee 

The Golf Tournament Committee oversees the golf tournament event from start to finish and provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

Leadership Madison County Committee (Alumni only)

The Leadership Madison County Committee compiles key elements of the community to build the curriculum for the program to create awareness in all aspects of the community. The Leadership Madison County Committee is also primarily responsible for the oversight and preparation of participants to better understand our community and the challenges it faces and to prepare for those challenges.

 

 

Liaison Committee 

The Liaison Committee is responsible for obtaining new liaisons and retaining the current liaisons by building relationships with the Chamber volunteers. The Liaison Committee works to provide the liaisons with proper marketing and member material and opportunities to network with current and prospective chamber members. The Liaison Committee is responsible for planning, communicating, and coordinating liaison meetings. 

 

 

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee works to increase Chamber brand awareness, promote Chamber initiatives, events, membership opportunities, and benefits. The marketing committee helps to establish marketing materials for the Chamber programs and events. 

 

 

Sponsorship Committee 

The Sponsorship Committee works to provide sponsorship and membership benefits for the year. The sponsorship committee works to obtain new sponsorships throughout the year and for Chamber programs and events. 

 

 

 

New Member Breakfast

The New Member Breakfast Committee is focused on planning regular breakfast meetings for new chamber members. The New Member Breakfast is to provide networking opportunities and education for our new members to leverage the events, benefits and offerings of the Chamber for their business.

 

 

Membership and Community Outreach

The Membership and Community Outreach Committee recruits new members by developing a sustainable growth plan and at the same time, monitors member retention. The committee should monitor members’ needs and the value of membership; recommending adjustments to benefits and services accordingly. This committee also ensures that the Chamber is serving the community at large.
